Three major events will punctuate the Research Data Management Programme. These events will be designed for both the Research Data Management Infrastructure and the Data Management Planning strands of the programme.

JISCMRD Programme Progress Workshop 
Objectives of this event
  • Projects had an opportunity to present findings of their requirements analyses (RDMI) or their work on data management planning (RDMP) to an audience of engaged stakeholders
  • Projects were able to discuss progress and findings, learning from each other and expert participants

 JISCMRD Stage Two Launch Workshop

This workshop was for the new JISCMRD Projects (i.e. the Citing, Linking, Integrating and Publishing research data (CLIP) Projects and the projects producing discipline-focussed Research Data Management Training materials (RDMTrain) to discuss their objectives and establish points of contact with other new and with existing projects in the programme.

The workshop was run in a dynamic and informal way in order to capture commonalities, potential for collaboration and issues for deeper consideration. The workshop also provided an opportunity to consider and shape programme level support and activities.

JISCMRD Programme Costs, Benefits and Sustainability Workshop
The purpose of the workshop was to focus on the project deliverables within the programme of defining benefits, identifying costs where possible and presenting a plan for sustainability. It aimed to provide practical guidance and advice to projects; opportunities for projects to discuss progress with defining costs, benefits and sustainability, and where they may need future help; and to identify potential case studies, emerging lessons and next steps.

JISC MANAGING RESEARCH DATA (INTERNATIONAL) PROGRAMME WORKSHOP
The JISC Managing Research Data Programme (JISCMRD) will hold a two day (International) Programme Workshop on 28-9 March 2011, Aston Business School, Birmingham.This workshop will be for ALL JISC Managing Research Data Programme Projects as well as invited UK and International stakeholders.The objective of the Workshop is to review progress achieved by the JISC Managing Research Data Programme and to discuss this in the context of broader international developments.
