The Hydrangea project will take the open/community source software outputs from the Hydra project and implement them over the Fedora institutional repository at the University of Hull. The Hydra project is a multi-institutional collaboration working towards a reusable framework and model for multipurpose, multifunction, multi-institutional repository-enabled solutions. The theoretical work undertaken by the Hydra partners has been instantiated through the Hydrangea software stack, which enables the creation, retrieval, updating and deletion of digital content through a user-friendly repository interface that can be adapted and extended to deal with multiple content types.
