Identity management case study - 4 years development at Blackpool & The Fylde College

This project is a retrospective and meaningful practical summary of four years of Identity Management in practice at Blackpool & the Fylde College, from the initial start through to completion, whereby all users have a definitive and functional identity.

Aims and objectives

To present a scenario that is approachable and recognisable in the context of FE institutions in particular but also relevant to HE establishments. To demonstrate that what could so easily appear to be a task which could carry significant inertia but suggest a strategy whereby the structured and considered small scale roll out as part of a whole is both achievable and worthwhile.

Project methodology

To consider and structure previous experience in a reflective manner to demonstrate best practice and how to avoid pit falls along the way.

Anticipated outputs and outcomes

  • 4000 + word structure case study
  • Full day workshop hosted at Blackpool & the Fylde College 29 April 2010. It is anticipated that the case study will incorporate feedback from the event on the 29 April 2010
