Commissions - Film & Sound think Tank

The Film and Sound Think Tank have commissioned a number of innovative 'products' which help highlight the work of the Think Tank, pushing the boundaries of how cultural heritage audio-visual material is made available, and demonstrating how education and film can move beyond the television age.

Highlights showreel

This is a brochure for our Think Tank, an audiovisual audit of JISC work in the field to date, replete with statistics about JISC’s level of investment etc.  The Showreel will kick off a discussion of how to market JISC audiovisual initiatives and collections.

Output format

One video of 4-5 minutes including distribution plan.

HEB as in Higher Education Broadcasting

A scoping project, looking at new options for distributing cultural heritage a/v materials.  Should it be a single digital channel or a distributed channel?  We could take some JISC-funded digital a/v content, brand it, and then syndicate it across video sites and social media, starting with Wikipedia and YouTube.

Output format

Series of online experiments

Imagine

Revisiting educational production in a post television age. How learners and film makers can work together in an open production environment.

Output format

One video showing students constructively engaged with archives and new productions. Planning should be done by March 2010.
