FE and skills development and resources programme
The Jisc FE and Skills Development and Resources Programme was set up to encourage innovative projects in the sector and the repurposing and updating of publicly funded resources to meet the requirements of new media and improve accessibility of those resources.
Projects in phase 1 of the programme were funded to contribute to the key policy priorities for the sector, namely:
- improving the learner experience and/or
- improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
We also funded projects that adapted, repurposed and contextualised existing resources.
33 projects were funded in this first phase, representing all countries of the UK and all aspects of the further education and skills sector. Further details about all of the projects funded can be found under the relevant priority areas below:
Improved learner experience
Improved efficiency and/or cost savings
Adaptation, repurposing or contextualisation of existing resources
Some project resources are available on Jorum - they can be found by searching for 'feskills'.
The programme was launched in response to the Government's pledge to improve learning across the UK - 'New Challenges, New Chances' report
