Institutional Responses to Emergent Technologies - Support Studies
The aim of the project is to help JOS, and JISC more widely, to support UK HEIs as they attempt understand, plan for and respond to the opportunities and challenges of emerging technologies.The specific objectives of the study are to:
- Identify the key issues
- Develop a landscape document which maps and attempts to understand the range of institutional responses to emergent technologies, highlighting the underlying 'geological' or 'tectonic' processes going on beneath the surface
- Carry out a formative evaluation and synthesis of lessons learned from the small scale pilot projects for the benefit of the projects, the programme and of the HEI community more widely
- Develop practical guidance materials and support tools for HEI managers
