Sense of community

Opportunities to chat with others over (admittedly your own) coffee

Inspiring speakers, challenging keynotes, innovative sessions are of course the main reason to attend a conference. However I am sure that one of the reasons that people attend conferences is the networking, social and community interaction that takes place.

You may think without a coffee break, no buffet lunch and no conference dinner that an online conference would be a social networking vacuum. Well you would be wrong. Of course an online conference isn’t like a face to face conference. An online conference isn’t trying to replace face to face conferences. It is something different, something new, something that will continue to evolve.

Within the online conference there are many opportunities for social interaction with delegates. Following the live keynotes, presentations and panel sessions, you will be able to continue the conversation within the asynchronous discussions. There are also social chat areas within the conference allowing you to chat about all and sundry over a coffee. Of course you will need to make your own coffee, but then again you may prefer tea!
