Each of the two themes provides keynote sessions, five workshops and an 'In Context' area which highlights work submitted in response to an Open Call.  The Showcase area contains presentations and papers not specifically attached to either of the themes.

Keynote Two speakers Mike Docker and  John Guy (Farnborough Sixth Form College) on Institutional Transformation through the use of ICT.

Presenters

• David Nicol (University of Strathclyde) and  Steve Draper (University of Glasgow) on Understanding the Prospects for Transformation. This session is supported by The evolution of WebPA, a online peer moderated marking system.
• Helen Beetham (Consultant) and  James Clay (Gloscat) on Personal technologies and the future of learning
• Steve Bond (LSE), Andrew Wodehouse (University of Strathclyde), Samuel Leung (University of Southampton) and   Iain Wallace (Glasgow Caledonian University) on It takes a bit of imagination. It is supported by two other presentations: Transforming Learning Methods and Spaces, and Staff support for e-learning: a new type of partnership.
• Paul Riddy (University of Southampton),  Graham Lewis and  Mark Childs (Warwick University) on Design for learning: an online workshop.
• Jane Plenderleith and  Veronica Adamson (Glenaffric) on Lost in transformation? Caught in the web of change. This session will be supported by three other presentations:  From bruised to enthused; and Survey tools, focus groups and video as a means of capturing student experience and expectations of e-learning; and CeLLs – Collaborative e-learning in Life Sciences.

These are additional presentations which relate to the main themes. They do not have a dedicated discussion area, but share one between them.

• Julie Hughes and  Emma Purnell (University of Wolverhampton) on Blogging for beginners:  Tangled weblogs as spaces for transformational stories of lifelong learning
• Mark Johnson (University of Bolton) and Sarah Davies (JISC) on How can you pilot lifelong learning? The experiences of the JISC distributed e-learning regional pilot projects.  Wayne Barry and  Glenis Lambert present on Personal Learning Portal Pilot: Sharing Learning Resources
• Mark Stiles, Fleur Corfield,  Richard Benefer (Staffordshire University) on Support of Work-Based Learning and Employer Engagement. This paper is supported by The Use of Wikis to engage FE students.

Showcase

• David Cornforth:  Promoting Good Practice and Highlighting Innovation
• Dave Foord: Changing the way we think and work by using Mind Genius (and other similar Concept Mapping Tools) in education.
• There will also be a session on 'Barriers to mainstream adoption of Second Life for teaching', by Andy Powell of Eduserve. This will be a live event held in Second Life. More details on this to follow.
