Learner Experience Support and Synthesis Project

What are the Grand Challenges for Technology Enhanced Learning?
When the Teaching and Learning Research Programme launched its Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) call, it chose four major themes: personalisation, productivity, flexibility and inclusion. Are these the grand challenges for TEL? Or are they merely signposts for research? If the latter, how can we turn them into real challenges that can stimulate cumulative research and, of course, real change in schools, colleges, workplaces and in the home? Richard will outline some of the TEL projects currently underway, and some ways in which the TEL programme is attempting to rise to these challenges.

Where we are with e-Assessment? Where Next - Consulting with our Experts
The e-assessment programme has been evaluating its work over the last 3 years, and is publishing a summary of the achievements and challenges as part of a consultation on proposed development priorities. We would like LTPEG’s consideration of the current baseline position, and suggestions for future developments, which we will add to the results from the wider consultation which will follow.

Learning from the simPLE Project
This session will discuss the outcomes from the simPLE project, funded by JISC and the UK Centre for Legal Education (UKCLE). The project created a simulation environment for professional learning - an open-source, open-standards transactional learning environment (TLE 2.0) which has been evaluated by practitioners and students in various contexts.
