The start-up programme meeting for the projects on the cross-institutional use of e-learning to support lifelong learners included:

  • A chance for projects to meet the programme manager and each other, and to exchange information about their projects, so that they gain a feeling for the strand of projects of which they are a part;
  • Discussion of the programme requirements as to documentation, reporting and evaluation, and the link between programme- and project-level outcomes;
  • Discussion on the legal issues facing e-learning projects, including data protection, IPR, and consortium agreements;
  • Information on JISC's technical approach, the e-Framework for Education and Research, and the work of JISC-CETIS, and what this will mean for projects.
