March 2008 Programme Meeting
e-Portfolio Interoperability Workshop
Introduction
Does your project work with information about learners; their achievements; their goals; their experiences; their personal, academic or professional development? They may value that information, and want to reuse it, not lose it: and not to have to re-enter it laboriously. Provision should be made to pass information to other systems which use similar information.
Aims and objectives
Come to this workshop to find out for yourself, and compare with others:
- Just what is the information related to your project that might be transferred in this way?
- In what way does your project envisage such information being transferred?
- How could that transfer be done?
- How can LEAP 2.0 make it easier than it has been with IMS LIP, IMS ePortfolio and even UKLeaP?
Outcomes
Discuss, and take away with you:
- Actions for relating your portability or interoperability plans to LEAP 2.0 and thus towards other projects
- Ideas about how your project can play a part in the detailed shaping of LEAP 2.0
Due to the limited time available on the day, you will be asked to write about your requirements before the event. This is essential to the outcomes being successfully realised.
Workshop Leaders
This workshop will be led by Simon Grant and Helen Richardson, the co-ordinators of the JISC-CETIS Portfolio SIG.
