The project will aggregate 14-19 Area Prospectus course advertising information from at least four different areas into Aim Higher East Midlands’ Progression Pathways database, as part of a wider project to amalgamate regional courses information. The courses information will be published on the live Progression Pathways service to show that the 14-19 course advertising information can be aggregated via XCRI and searched.

14-19 Prospectus Pilot in the East Midlands

The project will aggregate 14-19 Area Prospectus course advertising information from at least four different areas into Aim Higher East Midlands’ Progression Pathways database, as part of a wider project to amalgamate regional courses information. The courses information will be published on the live Progression Pathways service to show that the 14-19 course advertising information can be aggregated via XCRI and searched.

A primary aim of the pilot is to investigate any issues for 14-19 Area Prospectuses in the implementation of XCRI outputs, the compatibility of data content and structures across the partners and data maintenance. The project will report to JISC on the usage of XCRI for this purpose and will make wider recommendations in respect of using XCRI within the 14-19 Prospectus arena nationally.

The project will produce a case study of XCRI-CAP implementation in the 14-19 sector that can be used as a source of best-practice guidance for the sector as it pursues the LSC’s 14-19 vision of interoperability and orienting data around learners.
