Answer |
| Is this the Institutional Innovation call announced in the roadmap of JISC grant funding opportunities as "Institutional Innovation: Lifelong learning and employer engagement"? |
Yes |
| I notice that some of the project areas for this call include looking at integrated customer relationship management for workforce development services. Is this in addition to the future funding call announced in the roadmap for pilot projects on customer relationship managment to support business and community engagement? |
Yes: in call 11/08 one of the things we are interested in is how institutions can connect up existing systems and processes to deliver and manage better services in support of lifelong learning and employer engagement strategies, rather than the implementation of a stand-alone customer relationship management system. |
| Once we have calculated the full economic cost of our project, how do we split the contribution to this between JISC and our institution? |
For this call we don't give any rules of thumb on splitting the contribution - essentially we leave it up to your institution to determine how much benefit it would get from the work, and use this to judge how much of a contribution it would want to make. For this call, we would expect that the institution would benefit from the work - the proposed work is meant to fit in with activities that the institution already has a strategic commitment to. There is also some guidance in paragraph 31 of the call on what sort of project we would envisage funding at the lower (100k) and higher (300k) end of the funding range - the figures there refer to JISC's contribution to the project, not the total cost. |
| You say that you will only accept one bid from each institution – if an institution wanted to put in a single institution bid but was also part of a consortium bid would they be required to choose between them? |
Each institution can only lead one bid, but could also be a partner on another bid. |
