HEFCE’s framework for enhancing learning & teaching through use of technology
Work that JISC is currently doing in support of HEFCE's revised strategy, and further information and sources of support for institutions wishing to use technology to meet their strategic goals.
JISC activity
JISC works to meet the policy priorities of all of our core funders, as outlined in our funding advice letter. In higher education in England, JISC works in partnership with, among others, LSIS and the Higher Education Academy to realise the HEFCE strategy for e-Learning (2005)
HEFCE (with help from JISC and the HEA) has now reviewed and updated the original strategy and has published Enhancing learning and teaching through the use of technology - a revised approach to HEFCE's strategy for e-learning. This document builds on HEFCE’s 2005 e-Learning strategy, and focuses on enhancing learning and teaching through the use of technology. Institutions may wish to use these two documents to reflect on how technology can support them to achieve some of their key strategic aims. HEFCE has also included a framework within its revised approach to help institutions prioritise their strategic goals and establish appropriate measures of success for e-learning.To download a list of joint activities and publications carried out in partnership with the Higher Education Academy, click here.
