The Project has the objective of providing a comprehensive Course Data feed using XCRI-CAP which can be used for College, UCAS and KIS purposes. In order to do this we intend to evaluate and revise our Internal Course Data Processes and Procedures to ensure that they cover the whole of the Course Information lifecycle with particular focus on the Course Approval Process and the process and procedures for tracking course changes and updating Course Advertising Information.

Course Data Stage 2 Loughborough College

The Project has the objective of providing a comprehensive Course Data feed using XCRI-CAP which can be used for College, UCAS and KIS purposes. In order to do this we intend to evaluate and revise our Internal Course Data Processes and Procedures to ensure that they cover the whole of the Course Information lifecycle with particular focus on the Course Approval Process and the process and procedures for tracking course changes and updating Course Advertising Information.

We anticipate that a central outcome from this review will be the establishment of a central database of Course Data which will integrate with our MIS system thereby improving efficiency and reducing duplication of effort and of data management. The nature of HE qualifications means that this database must be capable of tracking detail amendments to modular delivery and in linking this with different years of study and importantly with particular students. In order to achieve this we will be working with third party software providers to accomplish this and the aim is to deliver this on one of the standard software platforms used by FE Colleges nationally.
