Faculty Podcasts: Preparing A-level Students for University via Podcasted Study Guides
The project proposes to extend a pilot project developed by the School of History, University of Leeds in partnership with The History Faculty Ltd. The model for the extended pilot (www.thehistoryfaculty.com) provides audio and video podcast study guides and other associated resources for A-level students created and presented by academic colleagues from the University of Leeds and other UK HEIs.
JISC funding will allow the University of Leeds to extend the pilot to the four largest A-level subjects: English, Maths, Psychology and Biology, and to explore more fully the potential of the platform to unite the common interests of universities and secondary schools, creating a basis through which the two can better prepare 16-18 year olds for university with teaching and learning resources of the highest quality.
