Project Description

This project will draw on the extensive experiences and expertise of the consortium to explore in detail the emergent issues relating to the use of Digital Repositories within the UK HE/FE sectors. This project will act as a “trailblazing exercise” to fully investigate the issues, challenges and opportunities relating to Digital Repositories from multiple stakeholder perspectives.

The project will initially undertake benchmark activities within the consortium, with identified project partners and beyond, relating to existing business processes and digital content / repository usgae. This preliminary work will inform a detailed exploration of the interplays, tensions and potential DRM opportunities that exist across the associated stakeholder groups.

The project will provide the sector with a range of outputs (use case scenarios, case studies and exemplar practices) necessary to inform development and use of digital repositories such that they best meet the needs of the various stakeholder groups.
