Strategic Content Alliance stakeholders

Key stakeholders

The key stakeholders for this work are seen as:

  • The citizen who stands to directly benefit from the greater level of what content is available and how it is delivered to them
  • UK public sector organisations (Sponsor and Affiliate organisations) concerned with online content provision which recognise the benefit of seeking a higher level of convergence in their activities in order to achieve more impact with their audience and demonstrate better value for money
  • International public sector organisations concerned with online content provision which recognise the benefit of seeking a higher level of convergence to share knowledge and demonstrate better value for money in their own nations
  • Publishing and content provision industry which are providing a range of online content services to the citizen and may feed-in, link-up and implement work undertaken by the Alliance

Sponsor organisations

The UK sponsoring organisations of the Strategic Content Alliance

As well as a commitment to achieving a higher level of co-ordination of content provision activities, the current sponsoring organisations share the following characteristics:

  • They provide a major set of online content services to their constituency of users
  • They are in command of significant resources and can directly influence the quality and direction of content services in their area
  • They share common public purposes, especially with regard to culture, education, research and learning.

The Strategic Content Alliance convenes a Board of its sponsors on a quarterly basis which plans, directs and advises on future activity and investment. Terms of Reference of the Board are available on demand from Sarah Fahmy
