Work package: Trialling of Collaborative Online Tools for BCE

This JISC Advisory Services work package aims to enhance and empower BCE collaboration among practitioners, between institutions and between institutions and external partners, through:

  • the testing and piloting of selected web technologies, tailored as appropriate, in specific BCE collaborative contexts;
  • the testing and piloting of techniques for collaborative BCE open source software development;
  • the provision of structured advice and guidance on effective use of web-based tools for collaboration for the range of BCE practitioners, deriving from the experience of the trials.

The work package will manage a number of institution-based projects exploring the use of online collaborative tools for BCE in a range of collaborative contexts.
