Goldsmiths student lifecycle relationship project
Overview
The project aims to review the experience of students at Goldsmiths and transform our approach to managing our engagement with students and prospective students. Through this project we will explore two distinct aspects of the student lifecycle to map processes and redesign services, pre and post enrolment.
We will further explore these stages with distinct subsets of students who will provide us with the opportunity to explore more complex engagements and services as part of the lifecycle, namely students with non-traditional entry routes, international students and postgraduate students. This will enable us to identify synergies and differences that will inform our institution-wide strategies and fulfil the needs of those particular cohorts.
Aims and objectives
Improve our engagement with students by mapping processes and redesigning services related to Student Lifecycle Relationship Management.
Explore how the systems and processes can be adapted to provide more effective support from the periods of conversion from offer to acceptance through general integration and retention.
Improve our specific provision for international students, postgraduate students and students with non-traditional entry routes.
Support the Strategic Assessment of Widening Participation in two key areas; pre-entry academic support and on course peer mentoring.
Contribute to and exchange with the wider HE community in exploring the definition and piloting of services around the student lifecycle.
Project methodology
Anticipated outputs and outcomes
The overall outcome of the project is to deliver a better service to all students coming to Goldsmiths. This project will identify ways that students want to interact with the College pre-enrolment and provide more concise clarification on what support they require in their first months.
