Role
I work in the Digital Communications Team, and have editorial and design responsibility for the Jisc website and digital channels.
I'm currently working alongside Ben Whitehouse, Nathalie Southall and cxpartners on the full redesign of the jisc.ac.uk site
Background
I starting out as a freelance web designer then, rather by accident, found myself working for Lancaster University for three years. I'd joined the entrepreneurship team at Lancaster University Management School, and had a happy (if damp) time providing web and brand consultancy and training to SMEs.
After six years up north (I also studied up there) I craved sunshine so headed to Bristol, joining the web team at UWE. Over my four years their I worked on the corporate site, developed their e-communications, and led on the development and management of their social media channels.
I'm a sucker for a new network or tool - and so have far more logins than I know what to do with. I also have more than a passing interest in web standards, typography, user experience, design and baking.
