The Technology: These systems comprise a screen upon which the output from a computer is projected, and a means of input to the computer by touching the screen. The screen can be illuminated by front or back projection from a standard colour projector, or a plasma TV screen can be employed (much more expensive).
The Opportunity
Whole groups can view information on a large screen, and changes can be made by touching and manipulating objects on the screen. Groups of learners can interact, using the screen as an experimental space. Wireless voting systems can also be employed producing a visual record for the tutor of answers to questions, particularly useful for ongoing assessment of understanding.
Action
