Effective Practice in a Digital Age
This publication updates the 2004 JISC guide to the pedagogy of e-learning, Effective Practice with e-Learning, by drawing on outcomes from the Design for Learning and Technology Enhanced Learning Environments themes of the JISC e-Learning Programme. The publication was launched at the 2009 Higher Education Academy Annual conference in Manchester.
The Publication
Learning and teaching in a digital age are being profoundly altered... by the additional potential offered by technology.
Effective Practice in a Digital Age is designed for those in further and higher education who aim to enhance the student learning experience through apt and imaginative uses of technology. A visually rich publication, Effective Practice in a Digital Age outlines key aspects of designing learning in a technology-rich context and is structured to address the needs of experienced practitioners as well as those new to technology-based learning and teaching – the ten newly researched case studies offer a choice of pathways reflecting the diversity of approaches taken by practitioners in current UK practice.
Effective Practice Resource Exchange
The Effective Practice Resource Exchange contains related resources that give further opportunities to explore aspects of technology-mediated practice. These include video clips, podcasts and extended versions of the case studies in the publication.
