The first in the Jisc Advance free online seminar series 'Cutting Costs not Corners'. In this session John Kelly and Deborah Ferns, Legal Information Specialists at Jisc Legal will be steering you around legally compliant cloud computing.

Webinar presenters:

• John X Kelly is an experienced legal expert in the fields of intellectual property law and liability in general in the education context. He also specialises in copyright licensing, online defamation, privacy rights and freedom of information as well as how the law deals with illegal and inappropriate content in the online environment.
• Deborah Ferns pursued a career in commercial contracts firstly within the IT/telecommunications industry and then as Legal Adviser for the UK operations of a contract testing and manufacturing. Deborah specialises in intellectual property law, contracts and licensing addressing the challenges faced by further and higher education establishments in the use of innovative technologies.
