New e-Learning publication launched today

6 September 2005

Delegates gathering at the Jisc-sponsored ALT-C (Association for
Learning Technology) 2005 conference in Manchester will today see the
launch of a new publication Innovative Practice with e-Learning
from the e-Learning and
Innovation strand of the Jisc e-Learning Programme. Aimed at
managers and practitioners in further and higher education, the guide is
based around ten case studies of current practice.

Using three different perspectives - those of the
learner, the practitioner and the institution – it examines the added value
and challenges that a range of mobile and/or wireless technologies can
bring to learning, teaching and management of learning. The publication
also includes a supporting CD-ROM which contains extended versions of the
case studies, five video clips and downloadable planning
tools.

Innovative Practice with e-Learning is an
approachable introduction to the embedding of mobile and wireless learning
into everyday practice and is available to UK higher and further education
institutions. Download
