e-Portfolios enter CPD field with a 'Flourish'

29 October 2008

As a tool for effective learning in the 21st century, electronic or e-portfolios are a topical issue. A Jisc-funded project at the University of Cumbria is using an innovative approach to encourage staff to use the pioneering ‘Flourish’ e-portfolio to help log their Continuous Professional Development (CPD), in the form of a short film.

Students at the University of Cumbria created this informative online animation to demonstrate how relevant the Flourish e-CPD can be in tracking and charting professional progress. Project manager Sarah Chesney says that ‘initial feedback has been overwhelmingly good - people really respond to this medium for explaining our project’.
