Rob Bristow, JISC's Programme Manager for Green ICT said, "I am delighted to see this strong field on the shortlist for Green Gowns Awards in 2010. Along with our co-sponsors, UCISA, JISC sees awards like this that reward innovation and that recognise the hard work needed to implement change, as helpful in getting across our messages about Green ICT".

Peter Tinson, Executive Secretary of UCISA commented “There is a considerable amount of good work taking place in universities and colleges to reduce power consumption and institutions’ carbon footprints. The strength of the shortlist highlights the excellence that exists in the sector.”

The awards are run by the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC) with a steering group of different agencies.
