JISC has sponsored the ‘Outstanding ICT Initiative’ category at the Times Higher Education’s (THE) brand new Leadership and Management Awards.

These awards recognise and celebrate the remarkable business and management skills of those running universities across the UK. They aim to champion the innovation, management skills and commercial acumen displayed by the sector in 2008.

Ann Mroz, THE Editor, said: “The UK's higher education institutions manage annual budgets worth billions of pounds and employ thousands of people. But the remarkable business and management skills of those running universities have never been recognised and rewarded. We hope these awards will change that.”

So if you think your institution truly stands out from the crowd - from developing innovative communication methods to cutting-edge financing or student accommodation - put yourself in the running and get your entries in by 20 February.

Shortlisted entrants will be circulated in May, with the gala awards dinner itself being held at the London Hilton on 9 June 2009.
