    Date 4 - 7 November 2008

2008’s Innovating e-Learning online conference focuses on the productive tension between the tried and tested and the wholly innovative, to explore how learning can benefit from e-enhancement in the future. Why not share your opinions and presence with this vibrant virtual community?

This highly regarded online meeting of minds boasts a range of new features, with 2008’s third annual event promising to surpass last year’s success. In addition to a high calibre selection of keynote presenters on the themes of ‘Embracing the future now’ and ‘Going boldly into the dark’, dedicated areas within Second Life will play host to several unique events including a virtual fashion show and an informal, social zone.

For delegates new to Second Life, JISC Emerge teams will lead orientation sessions in the two week ‘reading period’ prior to the debate. This is to enable every participant to access and benefit fully from the conference’s plethora of special features. These include up-to-the-minute blogs and the use of the Elluminate real-time web conferencing system.

The conference will take place in an asynchronous virtual environment, accessible wherever and whenever is convenient to you, between 4 and 7 November.
