Videos are helping to guide Jorum's users and contributors use the service

New Jorum videos support users and contributors

Following the launch of the free Jorum User Service over 100 institutions have signed up on the JISC Collections website.

Jorum users are able to search, browse, preview, download, review, reuse and repurpose content in Jorum. Jorum offers learning and teaching resources deposited by colleges and universities, there are now around 30 of these Contributing Institutions across the UK.

To support use of Jorum User and Contributor, several Jorum demonstration videos are now available on the user and contributor help pages. They give site representatives and teaching staff the opportunity to understand how Jorum works and what it can offer. The videos are user-friendly and have been well received by the community.

Jorum Service Coordinator Steve Rogers said:

“The Jorum demo videos are an excellent resource for both site reps and end users. They provide a quick and accessible introduction to the main aspects of the service. The ‘Finding resources in Jorum’ video is a particularly good introduction to discovering content.”

In addition to the videos, the new Jorum-update mailing list is now available, for both users and contributors. It will keep subscribers up to date with news, announcements, events and new resources.
