New agreement makes SCRAN resources available for three more years

4 October 2005

Jisc today announced a new agreement to make SCRAN's resources available to further and higher education for a further three years. The current SCRAN agreement ends this month and the new agreement will come into effect on the 1st November 2005.

SCRAN combines an extensive educational image archive and an easy environment for creating and sharing learning resources onsite and online. Users have access to over 300,000 high-quality copyright-cleared images, all with extensive accompanying text, 5,000 video-clips, sound files and over 1 million text records to support teaching, learning and research across a wide range of subject and curricular areas. These come from over 350 contributors, including the V&A, the Hulton Getty, the Oxford Illustrators and Designers and the main Scottish collections.
