JISC reshaping for the future

Martyn Harrow on his appointment as the new Head of JISC.

The people behind the transformation

JISC Inform caught up the newly appointed Head of JISC Martyn Harrow, who will start in post during February 2012 to oversee this transition, and JISC’s new shadow board to find out why they wanted to be part of taking JISC into the future.

Over the coming 12 months JISC will be reshaping the way it operates. This is in response to Sir Alan Wilson’s independent review of JISC which although concluding, ‘JISC is an invaluable national resource which has evolved in response to increasing demands over 20 years’, it also made a number of recommendations to help JISC continue to provide valuable services and ensure value for money at a time of financial constraint.

If you have a question about JISC’s transition or would like to receive a termly update email jisctransition@jisc.ac.uk.
