As part of this transition process JISC is seeking to appoint up to six individuals to a Shadow Board to oversee its transition to a new organisation. The Shadow Board will work alongside the current Board, until the new organisation is fully operational.
The Shadow Board’s role will be to look at how to embed JISC even more firmly within the teaching, research and further education landscape, and put JISC in an excellent position to play a key role in driving the use of digital technologies in education and research.
Applications are invited from people with experience at senior-management level gained within further and higher education institutions, a business environment or professions who have experience of strategic management. An appreciation of the value of information technologies to education and research is also desired.
If you’re interested in applying download the job application and read the person/role specification.
The successful candidates will start on 1 September 2011 and continue until the future JISC becomes fully operational. At present, it is expected that this will take one to two years.
Submit your completed applications to Dr Kathryn Turton (k.turton@jisc.ac.uk) no later than 12 noon on Monday 25 July 2011.
