JISC ITT: Systematic Review of all Existing JISC-Funded Services

The JISC invites suitably qualified individuals or organisations to undertake a systematic review of all existing JISC-funded services analysis and a consideration of the impact of integrating JISC services into the model recommended by Strand A of this work. This is based on the recommendations of a recent independent Review of JISC (the Wilson Review), which was commissioned by HEFCE.

The aims of the review are:
  • To propose, based on JISC’s vision and market research outcomes, which activities the new JISC should be carrying out
  • To match these activities to the existing services in order to identify gaps and less valuable services
  • Based on an assumption that all services, currently funded by JISC, should be brought ‘in-house’, to identify criteria for the cases where this should not apply (for example the service is not core to the business, difficult legal issues, the burdens outweigh the benefits, etc)
  • Apply these criteria to all the services that align with new JISC activities
