ITT: Competence structures for e-portfolio tools interoperability

JISC invites tenders, from a consortium, to develop an interoperability specification to represent competence structures, so that these can be used within different e-portfolio and related tools.

Aims of the work
  • develop an information model and specification to represent competence structures focusing on use by e-portfolio tools
  • represent a range of competence structures using this specification
  • carry out sufficient prototype development work on partner systems to:
    • demonstrate the use of the draft specification, and
    • provide guidance on implementation in e-portfolio systems

Total funding of £30,000 (including VAT, travel and subsistence) is available for this project.

The deadline for proposals is 12 noon UK time on Monday, 31 January 2011.

It is envisaged that bidders will be notified of the outcome of the evaluation process in the week commencing 14 February 2011.

The successful bidder will be expected to start work on or around 21 February 2011.

The work is to be completed by 8 July 2011.
