ITT: OER phase 2-Strand B(i) Examination of the impact of OER use on teaching and learning

The JISC invites tenders to conduct a study of the impact of the use of OERs on teaching and learning, the benefits that OERs can offer learners and  those  supporting the learner process and the pedagogical frameworks that enable effective use of OERs.

The aims of the study are to:

  • Make a clear and robust assessment of the benefits and issues that OER, specifically, can offer learners and educators.

Total funding of £50,000 (including VAT, travel and subsistence) is available for this project.

The deadline for proposals is 12 noon UK time on Monday, 4 October 2010.

It is envisaged that bidders will be notified of the outcome of the evaluation process in the week commencing 25 October 2010.

The successful bidder will be expected to start work on or around 1 November 2010.

The review is to be completed by/deadline for submission of final deliverables is 30 June 2011.
