JISC ITT Modelling Scholarly Communication Transition

The JISC invites tenders to conduct a study to model the costs and benefits of changing scholarly communication practices within UK HEIs.

The aims of the study/review are:

  • to provide information for university managers on the costs and benefits of changing scholarly communication practices and options, in particular moves toward more open access to research papers;
  • to tailor this information in case studies applicable to various types of HEI, using actual information supplied by between three and five HEIs.

Total funding of £50,000 (including VAT, travel and subsistence) is available for this project.

The deadline for proposals is 12 noon UK time on Monday 13th July 2009.
