Grant 06/09: Flexible Service Delivery Programme

JISC invites proposals from institutions to undertake work in the following areas as part of its Flexible Service Delivery Programme.

Call 1 Join a new Strategic Technologies Group

Expressions of interest are invited from institutions to participate in the Strategic Technologies Group.   The Group will bring together representatives from individual institutions and across institutional consortia, that are interested in exploring and investing in improved ways of planning and providing flexible technical solutions that support administrative and academic services.

Three types of membership will be available so that the Group can accommodate the varied needs and readiness in institutions.  Different levels of funding are available for each category with maximum funding available of £30,000 per institution and £90,000 per consortium.  A total of £600,000 is available for this activity.

The Strategic Technologies Group will be expected to start work on 6 July 2009 and will run for 20 months.

Call 2  Synthesis, Coordination and Community Support Project

Proposals are invited from institutions for the Synthesis, Coordination and Community Support Project which will provide expert community and technical support to the Flexible Service Delivery Programme and all its stakeholders, including the Strategic Technologies Group.  It will also provide the analysis and synthesis from programme findings as it progresses.

Total funding of £100,000 is available for this project.  It will be expected to start work on 29 June 2009 and run for 20 months.

Call 3 Institutional Governance Models and Skills Study

Proposals are invited for a project to study and report on the governance and skills needed if an educational institution is to be successful in the provision of flexible service delivery.

Total funding of £30,000 is available for this study.  It will be expected to start work on 29 June and run for 3 months.

The deadline for ALL proposals is 12 noon on 14 May 2009.
