JISC invites tenders to conduct an evaluation of the e-Infrastructure Programme funded by the JISC Committee for the Support of Research 2006 -2009.

The aims of the evaluation are to:

• develop an evaluation plan, following the guidelines outlined in the JISC Evaluation Framework and Handbook, for the e-Infrastructure Programme which has investigated the use of Advanced ICT to improve research impact (raising the quality of research); improving research productivity (raising the quantity of research) and to improve nature of research (enabling new research and methodologies)
• execute that plan
• deliver an evaluation report for the e-Infrastructure Programme

Total funding of £75,000 (including VAT, travel and subsistence) is available for this project.

The deadline for proposals is 12 noon on 20 February 2009.

It is envisaged that bidders will be notified of the outcome of the evaluation process in week commencing 16 March 2009.

The successful bidder will be expected to start work on or around 1 April 2009

The review is to be completed by 31 July 2009.
