JISC

JISC, on behalf of the Strategic Content Alliance, invites tenders from consultants to provide expert technical consultancy  to lead the development, installation and testing of a pilot demonstrator called BBC UK CenturyShare. 

The expert technical consultancy will ensure the successful development of the pilot demonstrator which will ingest and store content references with BBC and other providers in the public sector, with a search and browse interface permitting users to request content based on dates, date patterns (or trends) and the origin of the source, or the name of the collection resource.

Funding of up to £44,000 including VAT and expenses is available for this work. 

The expert technical consultancy must start no later than the week commencing 4 August 2008 and conclude in March 2009.

The deadline for submission of proposals is 12.00 noon on Monday 14 July 2008.
