The JISC Scholarly Communications Group (SCG) wishes to commission some research to scope issues relating to quality-control measures within the scholarly communications process. In particular the study should focus on new forms of quality-control for traditional publications and also on new forms of scholarly output in an electronic format, such as data or multi-media research or teaching publications.

JISC ITT: Scoping study on issues relating to quality-control measures within the scholarly communications process

The JISC Scholarly Communications Group(SCG) wishes to commission some research to scope issues relating to quality-control measures within the scholarly communications process. In particular the study should focus on new forms of quality-control for traditional publications and also on new forms of scholarly output in an electronic format, such as data or multi-media research or teaching publications.

Total funding of £20,000 is available for this work, inclusive of VAT and all expenses. The work should begin in early May and be complete by 25th July 2008.

The deadline for proposals is 12:00 noon on Friday 11th April 2008.
