JISC invites proposals for the following:

TASK A - the synthesis of project outcomes from relevant activities and programmes within the JISC e-Learning Programme which will include synthesising reports and documentation from several projects, writing supplementary material, liaising with project managers, practitioners and institutions who participated in the projects as well as liaising with the supplier working on Task B.

The main deliverable will be the synthesis of materials for the three publications to be delivered by July 2008 and March 2009. It is expected that this will require 80-100 days over the period April 2008 to March 2009. Funding of up to £30,000 is available for this work.

TASK B - the design and production through to print of the following publications building on the style of the ‘Effective Practice’ guides and reflecting the JISC visual identity guidelines:
• an effective practice guide to e-portfolios (by 1 September 2008);
• an overview of the Design for Learning Programme (by 1 September 2008); and
• a rewrite of the current JISC Effective Practice with e-Learning (2004) guide (by 31 March 2009).

It is estimated that TASK B will require 100 – 120 days’ work over the period April 2008 to March 2009 and funding of up to £60,000 is available for this work.
Funding for both activities will be commensurate with the effort proposed in the tenders. The total cost should include all expenses associated with the work, ie VAT, travel and subsistence etc. Tenders should be submitted no later than 12, noon on Monday 25 February 2008.
