This invitation to tender invites bidders to submit proposals to undertake two pieces of work: An evaluation of the UK LOCKSS Pilot programme and an investigation into the relative strengths and weaknesses of current e-journal archiving solutions, using a number of use-case scenarios to highlight the potential applicability of different systems to suit various needs across the UK Higher/Further Education community.

ITT: Evaluation of the UK LOCKSS pilot programme & a comparative study of e-Journal archiving solutions

JISC invites bidders to submit proposals to undertake two pieces of work:

  • An evaluation of the UK LOCKSS Pilot programme
  • An investigation into the relative strengths and weaknesses of current e-journal archiving solutions, using a number of use-case scenarios to highlight the potential applicability of different systems to suit various needs across the UK Higher/Further Education community.

The deadline for proposals is 12:00 noon on Monday 28 January 2008. The work should start no later than 18 February. Both the evaluation of the UK LOCKSS Pilot Programme and the e-Journal Archiving Scenario Report should be complete by 28 April 2008.

Bidders may submit proposals for one or both of these pieces of work. If bidders intend to undertake both pieces of work, separate bids should be submitted demonstrating economies of scale where possible.
