ITT: Study of Shared Services in UK Further and Higher Education
JISC invites proposals to explore the prevalence, the extent of and attitudes towards shared services in the UK Further (FE) and Higher Education (HE) sectors. The study commissioned should also explore the awareness and likely response of key stakeholders in the sector. Deliverables include:

A report detailing the current state of the market in, and current appetite amongst institutions for shared service solutions for administrative systems

A report detailing the current state of, the attitudes towards, and the state of future planning for, shared services

Advice and guidance to senior managers on the provision and implementation of shared services

A final report including recommendations of relevant potential foci for future JISC work in the area of Shared Services
The deadline for proposals is 12.00 noon on Thursday 13 December 2007. Total funding of up to £100,000 including VAT and travel and subsistence is available for this project. The expected start date for the study is Monday 21 January 2008. The study should take place over a maximum of nine months.
