JISC

JISC invites tenders for the design and development of the NewsFilm Online graphic user interface to be hosted and served from a JISC national data centre (either EDINA, MIMAS or both working in collaboration).  It must be platform independent, able to interface with the platformfor the collection which will be set up and managed by the JISC via its national data centre(s) and must meet the JISC Information Environment Standards. NewsFilm Online is primarily directed to the requirements for learners, teachers and researchers to be able to browse, search, download and embed encodings, scripts and associated metadata from the archives of ITN and Reuters Television.

Funding of up to £100,000 is available for this work.  The expected start date is the 2 May 2006.
