JISC invites tenders to design, implement, host and maintain an online gateway containing resources of relevance to both the public and practitioners regarding the HE sector’s compliance with information governance legislation. 

Initial funding of up to £50,000 is available for stage 1 of the project for the detailed scoping and pilot development of the JISC Information Governance Gateway, inclusive of VAT, if applicable, and all travel and other expenses. The successful bidder will be expected to commence work on the research and design of the Gateway by no later than May 2006, to be completed no later than by the end of September 2006.

A decision will then be made by JISC in October 2006 based on the outputs of the initial scoping and pilot study as to if and how to proceed with the development and hosting of a full production version of the Gateway. Following a positive decision to proceed, further development of the Gateway in stage 2 of the project is expected to begin in November 2006. The Gateway is expected to be available by no later than the end of January 2007 and actively maintained for an initial 2 year period until the end of December 2008. Funding of up to a further £150,000 is available for stage 2 of the project, inclusive of VAT, if applicable, and all travel and other expenses.
