JISC is inviting proposals to undertake a scoping study to identify sustainable technical and organisational models to support user-oriented services across digital repositories. In particular, open access repositories of interest to UK further and higher education are relevant. The study is intended to inform strategies to support access and use of repositories, with a view to the establishment of a national repository services infrastructure or framework.

Funding of up to £50,000 including VAT and expenses is available for this study.

The study should commence by Monday 5 December 2005 at the latest. The study is expected to last 5 months. A final report should therefore be submitted by Friday 28 April 2006.
