Large scale implementation of innovative technologies within institutions

JISC invites expressions of interest from institutions that have an interest in working on a large scale implementation of an innovative technology around the three key areas of mobile learning, gaming technologies and physical learning spaces in response to an educational challenge within their institution.

Funding of up to £300,000 in total is available for up to three projects to run over a period of no longer than two years starting in January 2006.  Each project will be required to work in collaboration with a named UK educational research laboratory to explore the impact of introducing the technology on the teaching and learning processes, and the associated organisational issues.

This activity forms part of the JISC e-Learning Innovation programme funded by JISC's Learning and Teaching committee.  

Projects should commence no later than 3 January 2006.
