Joint funding of up to £30,000 (including VAT and expenses) is available from JISC and the Qualifications Curriculum Authority (QCA) for a study to review the terminology used across the field of e-assessment, including formative and summative assessment and diagnostic testing, and to create a common reference for use by post-16 and higher education communities, which is also applicable to the 4-19 sector.

The glossary will be aimed primarily at practitioners in these sectors although will also be of use for other key stakeholders, including funding and regulatory bodies, strategic partners and examining bodies.

The project should commence as soon as possible after 16 May 2005.
