This document invites tender proposals to undertake a study into the appropriate future technical and functional requirements of the JISC Education Media Online (EMOL) service (http://www.emol.ac.uk) The JISC funded EMOL service, hosted by EDINA, a JISC Data Centre, is a service launched by EDINA in January 2003 to present online moving image and sound material licensed through the JISC Managing Agent & Advisory Service - MAAS. The EMOL service was initially commissioned without a clear future development strategy, JISC now wish to produce such a strategy before further work in re-developing this service takes place and this study aims to address this. This study will run in conjunction with a second study addressing the Future Programme Collecting Requirements of the Education Media OnLine Programme.

Funding of up to £25,000 (including VAT and expenses) is available for this study.
